Paul JamesPaul has been a Consultant to Advanta since commencement in 2005. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1972. He is also a Member of the Academy of Experts and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Paul is particularly interested in providing clients with effective solutions to many of their problems, adopting a proactive approach. He has dealt with forensic accounting matters and appeared in Court on numerous occasions both as an expert witness and as a witness of fact in cases as diverse as matrimonial, fraud and professional negligence as well as appearing at planning appeals.
Paul has had an extensive background in bespoke taxation solutions including drafting instructions for Tax Counsel to advise and attending conferences with counsel. He helps clients minimise their liabilities to a range of taxes both corporate and personal. He has also, over the last 20 years, developed a specialist client base in the City based financial derivatives sector.
Paul’s hobbies include road cycling, fly fishing and spending time with his family which includes 5 grandchildren.
