New Award For Residents Launched
 Following on from the incredible success of the Eastbourne Achievers Awards the Eastbourne Herald has teamed up with Advanta Chartered Accountants to launch the Eastbourne Resident of the Month Award.
Group Editor Peter Lindsey said:
"The Achievers Awards is once a year opportunity for people to celebrate local bravery, courage, achievement and goodwill. The Eastbourne Resident of the Month Award reflects the fact that in Eastbourne we are lucky to have countless people who in some way or another deserve due recognition for the part they have played in Eastbourne life."

"Almost every week in the Herald and Gazette we read stories about residents who have excelled. Added to this there are many unsung heroes who are doing wonderful things in local Eastbourne communities. We want to reflect the achievements of these people and at the same time hopefully encourage more residents to make a positive contribution to the Town."
